This is a sculpture of my daughter and her favorite horse. She diligently works to care for the horses, and they bring peace to her soul as she rides. Each of us would be fortunate to have something in our lives that calms our anxieties and strengthens our spirits the way horse riding encourages her.
I sculpted this piece in oil clay and made a rubber mold with plaster shell. I then created a wax cast and detailed the wax cast sculpture. A foundry cast the wax into bronze, and I applied the teal patina.
