Art Lessons Update
Due to currently pursuing a Masters degree in mental health studies, I am currently taking a break from teaching fine arts lessons. I recommend looking to Firehouse Art Center, Oil & Clay, and Yulia Kim's Art and More Studio for local art instruction (all located in Norman, OK).
Fine Art Lessons Class Information
Location:
Art lessons are located at my home art studio, on the north side of Norman, OK. After a student's application is submitted, I will inform you of my art studio address.
Breakdown:
I offer private art lessons for small groups of students, in Norman, OK. Classes are divided into “Younger Kids” (K-2nd grade), “Big Kids” (3rd-5th grade), and “Older Students” (6th grade and up).
What is taught:
My art classes focus on learning how to apply artistic elements and how to use art tools and media. I teach art lessons and avoid folksy craft projects. My goal is to equip students to be capable of succeeding in college art classes, should they choose to take such courses in pursuit of their degree, as a major or as an elective.
Summer Classes:
Summer classes each consist of four hour-long class times (classes are 1 1/2 hours long for older students), with a focus on ceramics. The classes will be scheduled once a week, to allow the clay time to dry and to be bisque-fired before glazing. Supplies are provided. The enrollment cost is $90 ($75 for early registration).*
School Year Classes:
There are weekly classes in the months of September through April, with classes on only the first two weeks of December and May. School year classes include various art media, including graphite, charcoal, chalk, colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolor paint, tempera or acrylic paint, and ceramics. Supplies are provided. The enrollment cost is $90 a month ($80 for early registration).*
